This Project

Karen Buro has been teaching Statistical Consulting for undergraduate students since 2019. In this course at MacEwan University students are matched with research projects. They are responsible for advising lead researchers in using statistics, including data preparation/cleaning, choosing and applying appropriate tools for data visualization and inferential statistics. Students will provide the researchers with a final written report describing the statistical methods used, the results, and their interpretations. Students are expected to maintain contact with their clients throughout the term and effectively communicate about the project's progression. This website has been built during Karen's sabbatical year 2022/2023. Its purpose is to share collected materials and experience so that others might find it easier to start teaching their own statistical consulting course.
