Kermit and Zoot
Developed by a research group headed by
Michael Buro at the University of Alberta,
in Edmonton, Canada, kermit and zoot have reached a new level of computer Skat in 2008.
Their strength is based on aggressive bidding, inferring players' cards, and fast search.
In a series of experiments it was shown that kermit and zoot play on par with human expert
players and outclass existing commercial and academic skat programs.
To test them we invite you to play on
ISS.
The technical details are outlined in a paper to be presented at IJCAI-2009 in Pasadena.
